XTRA B CREAM (Efzed Derma Division, Best Biotech) is an advanced, broad-spectrum topical antifungal formulation designed for the targeted treatment of dermatophytosis and superficial fungal skin infections. Containing 1% w/w Eberconazole Nitrate—a potent, modern imidazole derivative—XTRA B CREAM provides dual antifungal and anti-inflammatory action to deliver rapid symptomatic relief from itching, burning, redness, and scaling. Engineered for superior skin penetration and sustained cutaneous retention, XTRA B CREAM effectively eradicates stubborn fungal pathogens including dermatophytes, yeasts, and opportunistic fungi. Its enhanced lipophilic properties ensure deep tissue absorption, making it an ideal choice for managing Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris, Tinea pedis, and cutaneous candidiasis with a lower risk of relapse.
  • Inhibition of Ergosterol Biosynthesis: Selectively inhibits the enzyme 14 α-demethylase (a Cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme), blocking the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol. This disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity, increases membrane permeability, and leads to fungal cell lysis.
  • Anti-Inflammatory Activity: Suppresses local prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis within infected cutaneous tissues, rapidly reducing erythema, pruritus, scaling, and skin irritation.
  • Broad Anti-Pathogenic Spectrum: Demonstrates high efficacy against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton spp.), Candida species, and Malassezia furfur, while exerting mild antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria commonly found in secondary skin superinfections.

Application: Clean and thoroughly dry the affected skin area. Apply a thin layer of XTRA B CREAM gently over the infected skin and surrounding margins.

Frequency: Apply once or twice daily, or as strictly directed by a Dermatologist.

For external dermatological use only. Continue application for the full prescribed duration to prevent fungal recurrence.
