Product Overview

MIST-M is a highly potent, topically active corticosteroid nasal spray containing Mometasone Furoate. It is specifically preferred for its high safety profile and minimal systemic absorption.

Dosage:

Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever)

• Maintenance: Once symptoms are under control, your doctor may suggest reducing the adult dose to 1 spray in each nostril daily.
• Prophylaxis: If you have severe seasonal allergies, it is often recommended to start treatment 2–4 weeks before the allergy season begins.

Nasal Polyps

For adults (18 years and older) treating small growths in the nasal passage:

• Initial Dose: 2 sprays in each nostril once daily.
• Increased Dose: If symptoms are not controlled after 5–6 weeks, the dose may be increased to 2 sprays in each nostril twice daily (morning and evening).

Safety Notes:

• Full Effect: It may take 1 to 2 weeks of regular use to feel the full benefit.
• Discard Date: Most mometasone sprays should be discarded 2 months after first opening.
• Side Effects: Common side effects include mild nose irritation, headache, or sore throat. If you experience persistent nosebleeds or vision changes, consult your doctor.

How to Use?

1. Clear the passage: Gently blow your nose.
2. Prime the pump: If new or unused for 1 week, spray into the air until a uniform mist appears.
3. Application: Close one nostril. Tilt your head forward and hold the bottle upright.
4. Direction: Aim the nozzle toward the outer wall of the nostril (away from the centre of the nose).
5. Breathe: Sniff gently while pressing the pump.

• Prescription Only: This is a Schedule H drug. Use strictly as per the dosage prescribed by your doctor.
• Indication: Suitable for adults and children (above the age of 2 for allergic rhinitis, and 18 for nasal polyps).
